Privacy Policy
Throughline is a hosted reel maker you use from inside an AI chat app. This policy explains what we collect, why, and how long we keep it. We collect as little as the product can run on.

Who we are
Throughline (“Throughline”, “we”, “us”) is a product of Clandestine Hours. The service is operated on Cloudflare infrastructure. For any privacy question, contact throughline@clandestinehours.com.
What we collect
- Your reel briefs. The text you ask for a reel about (the topic, lines and style choices) is sent to our renderer to produce the video and matching carousel. This is the core of what the service does.
- Account identity (only if you connect one). The free tier needs no account. If you create one or connect Throughline as a connector via OAuth, we store an email address and an account identifier so we can apply your plan and credits. We do not collect a password when you sign in through your chat app’s OAuth flow.
- Render outputs. The finished MP4 and carousel images we generate for you are stored so we can deliver them by link.
- Minimal operational data. To keep the free tier fair and bounded, we keep short-lived usage counters (including a coarse, truncated record of request origin) and standard server logs of requests and errors. We use these only to run, secure and debug the service.
What we do not do
- The marketing site sets no cookies and runs no third-party trackers or analytics.
- We do not sell or rent your data, and we do not use your briefs or renders to train models.
- We never see or store your card details — payments are handled entirely by Paddle (see below).
Payments
Paid plans are processed by Paddle as our merchant of record. Paddle collects and processes the billing and tax information needed to take payment and handle EU VAT; we receive only the confirmation and plan status needed to grant your credits. Paddle’s handling of your payment data is governed by Paddle’s own privacy policy.
Where it lives & how long we keep it
- Rendered videos and images are stored for 30 days, then deleted. An identical re-render simply regenerates them.
- Staged drafts expire automatically after about 30 days.
- Interactive preview state expires automatically after about 7 days.
- Account records (email, plan, credit balance) are kept while your account is active and removed on request.
- Usage counters and logs are short-lived and roll off automatically.
Data is stored on Cloudflare services (D1, KV and R2 object storage) used to operate the product.
Your rights
You can ask us to access, correct or delete the personal data we hold about you, or to close your account, by emailing throughline@clandestinehours.com. We will respond within a reasonable time. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA.
Children
Throughline is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country), and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
We may update this policy as the product evolves. Material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date above. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated policy.
