Terms of Service

These terms cover your use of Throughline — the hosted reel maker you use from inside an AI chat app. By using it, you agree to them.

Draft pending legal review · Last updated 28 June 2026

The service

Throughline turns a short text brief into an on-brand short-form video and a matching carousel, rendered on our cloud infrastructure and returned as a hosted link. It is a product of Clandestine Hours. We may change, improve or discontinue features over time.

Accounts & the free tier

The free tier needs no account. It is subject to usage limits (currently up to 30 reels per month, with a small daily ceiling) and adds a small “Made with Throughline” watermark. We may adjust these limits to keep the service sustainable. If you create an account, you are responsible for the activity under it and for keeping your access secure.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use Throughline to create, request or distribute content that:

We may suspend or terminate access that breaches these terms or threatens the service.

Your content & ownership

You keep ownership of the briefs you submit and the reels we render for you, and you are responsible for having the rights to whatever you put in them. You grant us the limited permission needed to process your briefs, generate your renders and deliver them back to you. The Throughline name, marks, templates and the built-in look remain ours; using the service does not give you rights in them beyond using your own finished reels.

Plans, billing & refunds

Paid plans (including the founding-partner offer) are billed through Paddle, our merchant of record, which handles payment and EU VAT. Billing works as an internal credit balance: you fund a balance and each render debits it. Prices and plan features may change for future purchases. Refund and cancellation requests are handled per the offer’s stated terms and applicable consumer law — contact us at throughline@clandestinehours.com.

Availability & “as is”

The service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, that rendering always succeeds, or that stored renders persist beyond their stated retention window (currently 30 days). To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before the claim.

Termination

You may stop using Throughline at any time. We may suspend or end access if these terms are breached or if needed to protect the service. On termination, your right to use the service ends; sections that by their nature should survive (ownership, disclaimers, liability) continue to apply.

Changes

We may update these terms as the product evolves; the “Last updated” date above reflects the current version. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
